The Clean Up Series: Composting 101

C-O-M-P-O-S-T (find out what it means to me!)

Trilogy and The Clean Up Series are proud to be teaming up with Rivertown Composting Foundation for this very exciting workshop on COMPOSTING! Whether you are already composting, new to it or curious about whether it is even possible when you live in a suburban studio apartment (spoiler alert: it is!), join us on Saturday, October 8th from 2-5pm in Tarrytown. We will cover:

*What composting is
*What you need to get started (including those 'greens' and 'browns')
*What to compost and leave out
*How and where to use compost (including a drop-off spot so you can get started without needing to invest in your own compost recepticle - yet!)

Get useful tips, eat delicious snacks and make compost with support (and a bucket) from us! Start your own collection of food waste in this bucket, then bring it back to empty it at a later date. We'll walk you through the whole process, making it easy and fun to learn how to reduce food waste. Even a little effort can make a big difference.

Rivertown Composting Foundation is a community resource supporting current and future environmental custodians in the Hudson Valley. We are committed to maximizing the use and value of organic waste through composting and reducing the tons of food waste generated daily that ends up in landfill.

COST and REGISTRATION DETAILS
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased > here < or in-store at Trilogy Consignment.

Composting increases soil fertility. Healthy soil improves access to healthy food, saves water, nourishes plants, and protects our green spaces and wildlife. You can compost indoors and outside. You just need a bucket (and some greens and browns) to get started and make a difference!
