We all know that physical appearance is held in high regard in our society. We go to extreme lengths to meet standards for youth and beauty. In our daily lives, we spend time, attention, and money, chasing this
However, where did these beauty standards originate? What is the real cost of this pursuit; to our bodies, our wallets, to the environment? These are some basic questions that will be covered in this workshop.
More than ever, we today are seeking to prioritize health over beauty, leave a cleaner and more just planet for the next generation and to simply feel better about ourselves when we look in the mirror. To this end, it’s time to truly examine the overt and unspoken rules that dictate how we should look and feel.
FEES AND REGISTRATION: $30 for 2 hours of insightful dialogue and light refreshments. Please reply to this email with which time slot works best for you. We will need 5 participants to RSVP or the group will be rescheduled. If you want to come but $30 is too much for you to swing, please still come and pay what you can (you’re welcome to also pay more if you’re feeling flush!). We will be very happy to have you.
